Hi, I'm Jen!
Follow my journey as I turn my animal obsession into art, while I photo the world’s most magical creatures!
About me
I am disabled and have a physical disability called Phocomelia - I have half a right arm! (Similar to a T-rex arm, but I call it my lucky fin from Finding Nemo!). It doesn’t stop me from doing anything other than those dreaded shoe laces! - Thankfully, my partner is always there to save me from tripping over.
I’m a pretty down to earth kinda person. I love a good sense of humour and can easily laugh with anyone for hours on end. Speak to me about anything animals and you will have lost me forever. I throughly enjoy studying animals and their behaviours and there is so much to learn so I will never stop!
When i’m not behind the camera, you will find me snuggled on the sofa with my Staffordshire bull terrier; Kyza and my two cats. A Ragdoll cross called Misty and my little-big house tornado; Loki, a Norwegian Forest cat at any given moment! Time spent with pets is never wasted and I make sure I make the most of it!

Just look at him though ^

Why I do what I do?
I nearly lost Kyza just before his 1st birthday back in 2017. It was the most heartbreaking moment of my entire life and while rushing him to the emergency vets, it dawned on me that I had no professional photos of him, or at the time Misty. Nothing other than blurry phone photos to remember him by. (Although, sometimes them blurry phone photos are the best!!). A very painful realisation that a pets life is short!
After experiencing that myself, I decided to buy a camera and practice every single day and still to this day, make sure I create image after image of their lives.
I never want someone else to lose a pet without having that one magical image to remember them by and so, I decided to open my pet photography business in 2019.
My personal goals:
My personal goals with running a business is to capture every dog and cat breed on the planet. I know, I’m absolutely crazy but I hope to live long enough to complete it!
My second goal is helping to end BSL. (Breed Specific Legislation). I am a huge, huge lover of all bully breeds and my aim through photographing them is to end the scary stigma that surrounds them. I don’t believe dogs should be killed by the way they look and what their measurements say. It’s barbaric and completely unnecessary!
Why choose me?
Before I started photography, I used to be a dog trainer and studied animal behaviour. I have been mentored and have shadowed professionals while sitting courses in order for me to have a better understanding of the animals I love so much. I have worked with a large range of dogs from aggressive, shy and nervous dogs to the dogs that live their lives at 100mph.
All of my photo shoots are tailored to your pets needs. Meaning if they’re full time sofa potatoes then your session will follow your pets energy. Calm, relaxed and lazy. However, if your pet falls into the 100mph life then of cause, action and craziness is going to follow! Whatever mood your pets are in, we will create images that you will love for the rest of your life.
While on the field or in your home, 50% of my job is reading your pets body language and making sure they are comfortable with both myself and my camera. Extra time is always given incase your pet is nervous! Your pets safety and comfort is my number one priority and photo shoots are a fun day for them with extra treats and new toys!
